Bomb Threat Emails Received by Four Delhi Schools, Search Operations Underway\Dial24news Exclusive

On Friday morning, bomb threat emails were sent to four schools in Delhi, prompting a multi-agency search of the premises, ANI reported. This follows a similar incident on December 9, when 44 schools received bomb threat emails, which police later confirmed were hoaxes. The schools affected today include Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar (4:21 am), Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri (6:23 am), DPS Amar Colony in East of Kailash (6:35 am), and one other school.

In response, school management has advised parents not to send their children to school today. A police official confirmed that the checks are still ongoing at the affected campuses. This recent spate of bomb threats follows a similar incident on Monday, when at least 44 schools across Delhi received bomb threat emails, leading to widespread panic. Thousands of students were evacuated from their classrooms, while security forces carried out extensive searches at various schools. By the afternoon, Delhi Police declared the threats a hoax, as no explosives were found.

Security was also ramped up across the city, with cordons and emergency response vehicles stationed near major schools. This marks the third time in recent years that Delhi schools have received bomb threats via mass email. On May 1, over 250 schools in the National Capital Region (NCR) were similarly threatened with explosives, which was also later confirmed to be a hoax. In the past two years, there have been at least five other instances of bomb threats directed at individual schools, but the recent wave of mass emails represents a troubling escalation in such incidents.
