PM Modi, Amit Shah Listed as BJP’s Star Campaigners for Phase 2 of J&K Election | Exclusive Dial24News

Ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its list of star campaigners for the second phase of the polls, scheduled for September 25. The list includes top leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Smriti Irani, former Amethi MP, also features among the 40 key campaigners.

The BJP’s high-profile campaign for the J&K elections underscores the party’s focus on consolidating its position in the region. The list of star campaigners is designed to mobilize voters and send a message of strong leadership and national security. Other prominent leaders in the lineup include BJP National President JP Nadda, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and former Chief Ministers like Devendra Fadnavis.

In a significant political move, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to unveil the party’s election manifesto on Friday, September 6. The manifesto is expected to outline the BJP’s vision for Jammu and Kashmir’s development, with promises likely centered on economic reforms, improved governance, and increased security in the region.

The upcoming election marks a critical moment for the region, which has undergone significant changes, including the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. With its heavy-hitting campaigners and strategic agenda, the BJP aims to make strong inroads in the assembly, emphasizing national unity and stability in Jammu and Kashmir. The elections are poised to be closely watched, given the region’s unique political dynamics and the national significance of the outcome.

Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Jammu at around 2 pm on Friday, where he will present the BJP’s manifesto at the party’s media center in the city. During his visit, the Union Minister will first meet with the core group of the BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit to evaluate the party’s election preparations and assess grassroots activities. On Saturday, Shah will hold discussions with party leaders to further strategize for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir will conduct its assembly elections in three phases on September 18, September 25, and October 1, with vote counting set for October 8. This will be the first assembly election in the region since its reorganization as a Union Territory in 2019, following the abrogation of Article 370. The last assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir took place in 2014, when the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), led by Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, secured 28 seats, while the BJP made significant gains with 25 seats.

With the elections marking a crucial phase in the region’s political landscape post-Article 370, the BJP is expected to focus on national integration, security, and development in its manifesto, aiming to build on its past electoral successes.
