VVS Laxman Gets Asian Games Coaching Role

VVS Laxman will coach the Indian men’s cricket team at the 2026 Asian Games. The multi-sport event will take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, later this month.

The decision comes as India prepares for the Asian Games cricket competition. Laxman currently heads the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

Laxman previously guided India to gold in men’s cricket at the 2023 Asian Games. He will now return to multi-sport event in coaching role.

He will be assisted by Sunil Joshi, Hrishikesh Kanitkar and Subhadeep Ghosh.  coaching staff has been listed as part of India’s Asian Games contingent.
