CJP Responds to PM Modi’s Message, Reasserts Its Key Demand

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Thursday rejected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to establish fast-track courts for paper leak cases, asserting that the move does not address the underlying issues behind the NEET paper leak controversy.

In his first public remarks on the matter, PM Modi said that safeguarding students’ futures remains the government’s foremost priority and announced plans for dedicated fast-track courts to ensure speedy trials and strict punishment for those responsible.

Responding shortly after the Prime Minister’s post on X, the CJP described the announcement as a “distraction” and reiterated its demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The party argued that accountability for the alleged lapses must begin at the highest level of the education ministry.

The CJP maintained that while stricter legal mechanisms are welcome, they cannot substitute for political accountability and systemic reforms needed to restore confidence in the examination process.

CJP to PM Modi: Core Demand Still Awaits Action

CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke also took aim at the government by quote-posting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message on X alongside an image of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan bearing the caption, “Hi, I am nothing.” The post was intended as a criticism of both the Prime Minister and the education minister, with the organisation alleging that the Centre continues to shield Pradhan from accountability.

‘Fast-track courts won’t solve the problem’

In a subsequent statement, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka argued that the Prime Minister’s proposal does little to address the recurring issue of examination paper leaks.

Ranka said the establishment of fast-track courts was being presented as a remedy after the fact, rather than addressing the factors that allow such incidents to occur in the first place. According to him, the focus should be on ensuring accountability within the education system and preventing future breaches.

He further alleged that the persistence of paper leaks reflects administrative failures within the education ministry, reiterating the party’s demand that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan step down over the controversy.
