Six people have died after a five-storey building collapsed in Delhi’s Satya Niketan area. Rescue teams continued searching the debris on Monday as operations entered the second day.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reached the site on Monday to review the rescue operation. She was accompanied by senior Delhi government and MCD officials.
The building housed a boys’ paying guest accommodation near Delhi University’s South Campus. It collapsed around 1:30 pm on Sunday while repair work was reportedly underway.

Rescue Operation Continues In Satya Niketan
Multiple agencies are working at the collapse site. The Delhi Police, Delhi Fire Service, NDRF and Delhi Disaster Management Authority are involved in the operation.
Eleven people have been rescued so far, officials said. One person rescued during the night was brought dead, taking the death toll to six.
Rescue teams are carefully removing concrete and debris from the collapsed structure. Officials are continuing the search for anyone who may remain trapped.
CM Rekha Gupta Reviews Rescue Work
